Scientific name: Lagenorhynchus obscurus
Common local name: delfin oscuro
The dusky dolphin is a highly gregarious and acrobatic dolphin. They
form groups of 5 to 15 individuals although a group of more than 100
individuals is not uncommon.
This species is short to medium in length in comparison with other
species in the family. Males have a size of around 2,1m and females 1,9m.
They have a maximum weight of 100kg (females a little bit less).
