The bottlenose dolphin inhabits warm and temperate seas worldwide,
normally in coastal regions although it is possible to find them
offshore. They can be found in all but the Arctic and the Antarctic
Oceans. They support great variations in water temperature (10°C -
32°C), salinity (5 - 35‰), transparency (0 - 40m) and contamination.
En Argentina, bottlenose dolphins can be found from Buenos Aires
province to the province of Chubut (middle Patagonia) with few registers
of their presence more south in the province Santa Cruz and Tierra del
Fuego.
